Vacancy eCommerce Accountant at CronosNow

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with our clients, providing them with dedicated accounting services that include bookkeeping, financial reporting, accounting for taxation support, and strategic advice. You will be instrumental in helping eCommerce businesses navigate the complexities of online sales platforms and international tax obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of clients
- Perform daily and monthly bookkeeping and reporting for eCommerce clients across various platforms such as Xero and Quickbooks.
- Utilize integrations from Amazon, Shopify, eBay, and others
- Work tirelessly to improve accrual accounting for cost of goods sold and inventory valuation
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to give clients insights that drive better business decisions.
- Collaborate with global sales tax and VAT specialists to assist clients in preparing and accounting for sales tax & VAT filings.
- Support income tax specialists in the USA and around the world in ensuring our accounting records are tax season-ready
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that are crucial for the growth and profitability of eCommerce businesses.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for clients who require it.
- Stay updated on the latest eCommerce Seller and CPG trends and tax regulations to provide clients with the most relevant and compliant advice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Newly qualified CA, ACCA, CIMA, AGA, or PA is a plus).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, ideally focusing on eCommerce businesses, but any in-depth exposure to inventory-related accounting issues and systems is required.
- Proficiency in tools such as MS Excel, Google Sheets, accounting software, particularly Xero, and ideally familiarity with eCommerce Seller tools that are used for Amazon Seller or Shopify order processing, including A2X, LinkMyBooks, Greenback, etc
- Fundamental understanding of international tax regulations, ideally sales tax in the USA and VAT in the UK and EU, and a bonus if GST in Canada or Australia is something you have worked on.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial information in an understandable way, both written and verbal
